Job Description of Business Development Manager (B2B & B2C) (Ed-Tech) –
at NOIDA
Responsible for achieving assigned P/L targets, identifying and developing new growth opportunities while maintaining existing ones. Ensures timely customer collections and oversees the entire B2B sales cycle—from lead generation, qualification, and development to negotiation and closure—managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) As Business Development Manager (B2B)
- The candidate must have prior experience in the Ed-Tech or Education industry, specifically in counseling and selling online courses in the Data Science domain.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Corporates, Government Bodies, and Educational Institutions to facilitate Data Science/Analytics training across India and internationally, in both online and offline formats.
- Represent the organization and establish corporate partnerships by acting as the primary point of contact.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve targets and expand the company’s corporate client base across India.
- Engage in corporate sales (B2B) through cold calling, making multiple outbound calls to potential clients, closing deals, and managing the sales process.
- Identify target accounts, develop sales plans, interact with senior management, and present Data Science products and services effectively.
- Understand the needs of Corporates, Government Bodies, Colleges, and Universities, offering tailored analytics training and support. Address client queries, follow up on discussions, and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Maintain and update a database of prospective clients using tools like Salesforce, CRM, or Excel.
- Conduct area mapping, prospecting, negotiations, finalizing commercials, and ensuring deal closure with proper documentation.
- Coordinate closely with the training team to provide clients with customized training solutions as needed.
Key Performance Indicators (KPsI) As Business Development Manager (B2C)
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s B2C customer base.
- Build strong relationships with new customers and secure contracts to meet assigned sales quotas and targets.
- Identify potential customers through direct methods like cold calling and face-to-face meetings, as well as indirect methods like networking.
- Generate innovative ideas and design a business plan to achieve monthly sales targets.
- Develop and strengthen a network of business associates to drive monthly admissions.
- Meet enrolment and revenue targets by strategizing based on market trends and assigned leads.
- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls, convert leads into sales, and achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals while managing and nurturing customer relationships.
- Address customer inquiries about Data Science courses, act as a consultant, and guide prospects in making informed purchase decisions.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with new and existing customers, log all sales activities, and document customer interactions.
- Identify and leverage multiple sources to achieve enrolment targets.
Desired Skills:
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in inside sales, telesales, and client meetings within a B2C/B2B environment. Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a results-driven approach.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in the EdTech or education industry, specifically in the Data Science domain.
- Skilled in engaging with diverse clients to understand their training needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Goal-oriented with a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Experience in telephone sales, cold calling, and client meetings, including visits to corporate organizations, government bodies, and educational institutions to drive business growth and manage lead pipelines.
- Basic knowledge of Data Science, Big Data, and AI technologies is an advantage.
- Passionate about sales with a strong ability to convert leads into customers.
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding monthly/quarterly sales targets, preferably in the education sector with a focus on Data Science.
- Prior experience in selling software products or services is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of the latest technologies.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and spoken English communication.
