JOB DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (B2B & B2C) ( ED-TECH) –
AT CHENNAI
The individual responsible for meeting the assigned P/L targets, Building new avenues for growth and
sustaining the existing ones, Responsible for ensuring timely collections from customers. Accountable
for the entire B2B sales cycle from generating, qualifying & developing leads to negotiating and
closing opportunities involving multiple stakeholders both internal & external.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) As Business Development Manager (B2B)
(1) The candidate must have worked in Edu-tech or Education Industry counselling and
selling online courses in Data Science Domain.
(2) Develop and sustain a strong network with Corporates, Government Bodies and
EducationalInstitutional for the delivery of Data Science/Analytics Training inPAN
INDIA and abroad in both Online & Offline modes of delivery.
(3) Establishing and managing corporate tie-ups by acting as the face of the organization.
(4) Develop and execute a strategic plan to set and achieve sales targets and to expand the
company’s corporate customer base in the entire PAN India region.
(5) Cold calling; corporate sales, B2B – making multiple outbound calls to potential
corporate clients; closing sales and working with the client through the closing process.
(6) The individualwill develop and execute sales plans for target accounts and interaction
with senior management in the client organizations & present Data Science products &
services.
(7) Understanding client (Corporates, Government Bodies, Colleges & Universities)needs
and offering analytics training and support; answering potential clientquestionsand
follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (RFP).
(8) Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospective clients; maintaining a database
(Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information
(9) Area Mapping, cold calling, prospecting, negotiation, freezing on commercials and
closing of deals with the necessary documentation.
(10) Continuous contact with the training team to offer the client any training delivery
based on customized need.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) As Business Development Manager (B2C)
(1) Develop and execute a strategic plan to set and achieve sales targets and expand the
company’s B2Ccustomer base.
(2) Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customers
that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets
(3) Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and faceto-face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
(4) Formulating new ideas and designing a Business plan for achieving the desired monthly
target.
(5) Developing a Strong Network of Business Associates, to achieve Monthly Admission
Targets.
(6) Achieve enrolment as well as revenue targets for the monthly assigned target form
strategy based on the market dynamics and leads assigned.
(7) Make Inbound and Outbound customer calls and convert them into sales, achieve
monthly & quarterly sales targets, and assist in capturing, managing, engaging and
nurturing leads into customers.
(8) Handle all incoming customer queries on our Data Science courses, act as a consultant,
and guide prospects in their purchase decisions for data science courses.
(9) Regular follow-up with new and existing customers and Log all sales activity and keep
detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions
(10) Identifying multiple sources to achieve enrolment targets.
(11) Meeting business targetsthrough effective counselling and selling skills.
Desired Skills:
– 5- 15+ years of experience in Inside Sales/telesales experience /Client Meeting Experience in a
B2C/B2B environment with excellent communication skills, enthusiastic go-getter and
willingness to meet targets.
– A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in sales in EdTech / the Education Industryin Data
Science Domain.
– Open to working on weekends (if Required)
– Eager to deal with different customers /Clients and understand their training needs.
– Target driven: We need you to achieve and exceed your quota of sales.
– Have familiarity with telephone sales techniques / cold calling techniques and Client Meetings
by Visiting to Corporates, Government Bodies & Educational Institutes as per Business
requirements and managing lead pipelines.
– Theoretical understanding of DataScience and Big data technologies is desirable.
– Super passionate about sales and have the ability to convert leads into customers.
– Consistent track record of achieving sales targets (monthly/quarterly), preferably from an
education industry background in the Data Science Domain.
– Experience in selling Software products/Services in the past preferred.
– Technical Skills required: Basic understanding of latest technologies.
– Soft skills required: Excellent written & spoken English communication.

Working Location – Chennai ,So, the candidate must be residing or willing to
relocate at a nearby place.

HOME )
