Measures of central tendency are summary statistics that represent the centre point or typical value of a dataset. these statistics indicate where most values in a distribution lie and they are referred as the central location of a distribution. The central tendency can be thought as the propensity fir data points to cluster around a middle value.
The mean median and mode are the three most common measures of central tendency. Each of them calculates the central point using a different method. We choose the measure of central tendency depending on the type of data we have.
MEAN
Mean is the average value of all the values of the dataset. to find the mean we add all the values and divide it by the total number of observations. Mean depends upon the value of the observations. if we change any value the mean will be affected. the mean of data lies at the central part of the data however in the presence of the outliers and the skewness of the data, the mean may be dislocated from the central part of the distribution.
MEDIAN
Median is the middle value of the dataset.to find the median we need to arrange the data in ascending order and then we find median according to the number of values i.e., odd or even. we find it according to the formula.
MODE
Mode is that value of the dataset that occurs most frequently in the dataset. We can also find the mode through the representation of the data through the bar graph.
